Version 1.15.0: Error ripping 3 brand new Blu-rays

Post by intelligo »

I just attempted to rip three brand new Blu-rays using version 1.15.0 for the first time and all three ended with the same error popup:

Image

MakeMKV created no output file in the target directory. The three BDs are:
  • Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
  • Galaxy Quest
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
I'm running (Windows 10) and my BDR is an internally installed Pioneer BDR-209M. Attached is the dump from MakeMKV. Please advise. Thanks!

Up until version 1.15.0, MakeMKV has functioned without problems. I will probably revert to the previous version until this problem is resolved.

Two things. First, your destination drive is full, and MakeMKV can't write the whole BD to it. You need to free up some space.

Second, you're using a Pioneer drive, and MakeMKV saw that it has a firmware version that Mike doesn't have yet, so the program wants you to send a copy of it to svq@makemkv.com for analysis. Posting it in a forum message isn't the fastest way to get it to him, and Mike will probably have a follow-up request to generate a full firmware dump.

I know this because I have gone through this before. The firmware part, that is.

Thanks, Woodstock! I'm an idiot!

I almost always have excess disk capacity, and the log's font is so small that I didn't think it could have been a full disk.

Hey, running out of space is a chronic disease for rippers... :)

(I've removed well over 4TB of raw MKVs in the last few days, as I get around to processing them with handbrake)
