error "The volume key is unknown for this disk"

Post by AiNATE »

Code: Select all

Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\AiNA/.MakeMKV/MKB_v63_AVXD_92946_04EA.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
What can I do?

Same as everyone else that has this error - send the file C:\Users\AiNA/.MakeMKV/MKB_v63_AVXD_92946_04EA.tgz to svq@makemkv.com for analysis.

Although it is unusual for a non-UHD BD to have this error. MakeMKV does a pretty good job of finding keys for regular BDs all on its own.

Another member also reported encountering this today on a non-UHD... but after multiple attempts to open the disc, they reported that it succeeded:
