I'm a longtime registered makemkv user. I've been experiencing more and more errors while ripping BD. While attempting to rip a brand new disc I get this error message: (note: the disc is clean and plays in my regular bluray player)

I will give that a try. However, do the above error logs suggest that may be the issue?

Means your drive reported an error when reading the disc. More specifically I think it means the laser skipped because the surface of the disc was imperfect.

I used a bluray cleaning disc and the problem is not resolved. D'oh!

If cleaning the drive did not fix the situation, AND the drive is getting these seek errors on multiple disks, there is a very good chance that the drive itself is failing. When commanded to go to particular sectors on the disk, it can't find them.

Are ANY of your BDs readable by this drive? Are the failures occurring around the same range of sector counts? How does the drive do with a DVD?
