Thanks for all the help guys, but my numbers don't match those for 1:47:13. I've got:

00038
00280
00386
00474
00797

I'll try to figure out these numbers if anyone else has them...

Correction: I've deduced that my correct list is 00797, for a Region A copy in Canada.

You should also list what region your disc is from, and if it's maybe a collectors/steelbook/regular edition.

This madness certainly will be dealt with. For now, the "easiest" manual path:

1. insert the disc in player, play main movie. If your player displays playlist id, then you're done. If not continue.
2. Take a pencil and a piece of paper, chose two or 3 chapters/episodes (for example No 3, No 8, No 15). On player navigate to these chapter and write down exact chapter time (all players display the current running time one way or another).
3. In MakeMKV go through each title one by one, expand "chapters" entry and compare times. Usually a timestamp for two arbitrary chapters is enough to filter out all fakes.

Something strange. When I load this into VLC it plays a track of 1:50:07 which corresponds to playlist 465. All chapters match up except this has 17. Is this an extended version?

Sorry to bump up an old thread. I wanted to add that that DVDFab is reporting 603 as the correct playlist. DVDFab shows that 603 has 17 chapters, but MakeMKV is showing it has 16. Anyone knows why that is?

DVDFab probably starts with Chapter "0", while MakeMKV probably starts with Chapter "1"...

00001.mpls
00043.mpls
00276.mpls
00842.mpls
00941.mpls

Hope that helps.
842 appears to contain the correct segment order on my disc.
I have these chapters aswell, how did you manage to filter out the fake ones to get to the right on and how did you know it was 842, that was correct, they all look the same to me.

On my disc the numbers are different again (Europe region disc) Only two have length 1:47:13

00035.mpls
Duration: 1:47:13
Chapters count: 16
Size: 31.4 GB
Segment count: 16
Segment map: 508,501,504,519,503,517,507,512,513,510,516,509,520,502,511,506

00739.mpls
Duration: 1:47:13
Chapters count: 16
Size: 31.4 GB
Segment count: 15
Segment map: 508,501,505,519,503,515,512,518,510,509,514,520,502,511,506

Just checked AnyDVD. Says it's 739...

p.s. "If your player displays playlist id, then you're done. If not continue" ... which PC bluray player displays the id? Not Cyberlink anyway.

"In MakeMKV go through each title one by one, expand "chapters" entry and compare times" - where is this chapter stuff??? I don't see any chapter expansion in the titles??

p.p.s. VLC player must be picking the WRONG playlist (duration 1:48:15) because it starts the film (after the Lionsgate logo) with Arnie walking into the parade (skips the night scene before this with police car)

Hello folks,

@Mike_Admin: as simple as your solution is there is one problem...us Linux folks don't have a lisenced player to verifiy this on. After trail and error 506 (Title 40) worked. Any update on a easier way?
