Whoops sorry about my previous post... I was not correct t149 (815.mpls) also jumps during the mind game, after the mouse's first try, jumps forward to the Col. and then back to the game. So, that still leaves my question any other good suggestions besides 821 and 815?
Thanks jas

I am ripping 815 right now and will let you guys know if it is correct (rental version).

On a side note, I can't even PLAY this thing on either VLC or WMP.
If I didn't have MakeMKV (<3) I would be insanely angry about this disc...

On my retail BD (purchased at BestBuy - NOT a steel book), 815.mpls appears to be the correct title. Sequence matches and it has a DTS-HD MA audio track. 821 that is listed as the correct retail title is out of sequence.

I purchased the Blu-ray + DVD + Ultraviolet version from best buy and I've yet to find the correct track.
The suggested (by makemkv) 750.mpls was close but the brain game jumps. 815.mpls jumps from the mess hall to the middle of the brain game. I also tried 461.mpls...

Anyone?

Anyone have any luck yet discovering the correct playlist for Ender's Game Retail? People were saying 815 or 821 were correct, but now reports coming in that those skip as well. Anyone with a definitive answer? I bought the disc but have never seen the film, so I'd be worried I wouldn't notice a jump if it's subtle, and don't want to waste time ripping until there's a confirmed track.

Just ripped the 815.mpls of Ender's Game from a Redbox blu-ray disc and watched the whole MKV through. It's the one.

How do you identify which *version* of the damn blu-ray it is? BestBuy/Target/Steel/Netflix/RedBox/Retail/etc./etc./etc.??? Has anyone figured out which track for each version is the actual damn movie?

screw it. I'll just re-read the book. Idiot MPAA.

FYI, tappinaway's script doesn't work because it assumes the first M2TS listed in the *.clpi file is the correct next item. For Ender's Game in the middle of the sequence it's the second listed M2TS file. I assume if you followed all possible paths it would produce almost the same lists at the *.mpls files. The only real method that works is the one listed in this post http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=7680. At least until VLC supports BD menus. For the Netflix BD rental here is the result using the method from the above post.

Code: Select all

Title information
Name: Ender's Game
Source file name: 00815.mpls
Duration: 1:53:48
Chapters count: 16
Size: 19.5 GB
Segment count: 15
Segment map: 502,512,510,516,506,509,515,523,521,513,520,503,507,522,514

I've got a retail version from Amazon.com: Blu-Ray + DVD + Ultraviolet Copy (UPC# 0 25192 21706 7)

Looks like it's the 821 (t164). It's got the correct order per jasrun2.

I'm trying it now. I'll post back if it's not the correct one.

OK - t164 for the retail amazon.com is NOT correct.

Watched it last night and it jumped two different times.

Guess I'll watch the disk and try again.

I mapped the segments manually for the US retail blu-ray edition (DVD + BD + Ultraviolet) and for me it was 821.

My map was: 513 501 504 510 505 502 514 507 511 508 509 503 506 515 512

What a pain in the tukus! Between my brother and me, we have nearly 400 BR. This is the first I have ever come across this nonsense! Thank you all for doing the heavy lifting on this one. It would have taken me the better part of a few days to figure out the right track, all so I can finally watch the movie using my PC, which is far superior to the BR player.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but has anyone figured out the correct segment map for the edition from amazon (bluray, dvd, and ultraviolet, UPC# 0 25192 21706 7 same as jonbreen2000)?

I have so far tried the 815 option (513 501 504 510 505 502 514 507 506 508 509 503 511 515 512) and that was wrong, as it skipped 30 min in right after the classroom bit right into the end of the first mind game bit. Im trying 821 now (513 501 504 510 505 502 514 507 511 508 509 503 506 515 512) but im not that hopefull if the skipping happened so early and the only difference in the two maps is nearer the end (if im understanding this anyways).

So yeah, anyone?
