MakeMKV 1.9.3 backup function does not work (Gentoo)

Post by ersteiswuerfel »

I tried the backup function with two different Blurays. With each one the backup gets stuck somewhere at an early stage and never completes (screenshot attatched)...
Strangely, ripping (parts of) the Bluray to an .mkv works. The makemkvcon process keeps running but does not seem to do anything useful (no harddrive actifity).

I am quite certain the backup function worked some time ago, but I don't know what version of MakeMKV I used for my last successful backup.

System: Gentoo 64bit, 3.19.8 kernel

I also have the same bug on Debian/Stretch. it was not an issue in 1.9.2 but has become an issue in the latest version. Not sure how useful this log is but here's the debugging:

Same disc/setup rips fine using the mkv method.
