Registration key not being accepted

Post by poguec »

Today the program said my key expired, entered the key again and then it said the program was outdated. Installed the latest version, same serious of events. Uninstalled the program, even removing the registry entries, installed again same thing.

I can't use the program anymore and it worked yesterday, suggestions?

Are you using the free beta key, or your own registered key?

I'm going to guess Mike pulled an April Ludgate and forgot that March 31st exists. Wait until tomorrow, or give it a couple days, and there'll be a new Beta key, I assume.

In the mean time, you CAN use the work-around - change your computer DATE ONLY back a few days, start MakeMKV, then reset the date. Don't bother changing the time portion.

MakeMKV only checks for registration expiration at start-up.

This happens every two months. A simple search of the posts would reveal this and make comments unnecessary.

Sure.

/buy/

Appears you've been using it for approximately 4 years, anyway.

That would be a fair assessment. What is the cost to purchase and is it a one time purchase with upgrades when they become available or pay on a schedule?

Cost depends on your country - the link, which is the same as Help->Buy in MakeMKV, will tell you the price. It's USD50 if you're in the US.

It's one time, good "forever". It is NOT a yearly subscription like many other programs use.

Also re: your question about upgrades. MakeMKV is constantly updated to stay current with the industry. (You can see the updates here: /download/)

Your personal registration key will always work with any version.

Also, unlike other programs, MakeMKV does not rely on connection to an online server. (Although it has some minimal online update functionality that can be used if desired.)

In other words, with a licensed key, you can use MakeMKV anywhere, anytime, forever, no matter what.
