LG WH16NS60 driver win10

Post by Dave77 »

My drive seems to have installed a driver from 2006 stating it's a DVD/CD-ROM drive, does anyone on here know of a newer driver? I cannot see anything on the LG website

Leave cdrom.sys alone.

If a real UHD drive was installed the player software PowerDVD will take care of any additional drivers it needs.
Windows 10 and 7 are just putting the bare minimum hardware driver on so the thing will be recognized as a multimedia drive.

You notice how MakeMKV still runs with only that driver installed?
Go look at the drive see what the OS thinks it is now.

You guys insist on over complicating this shjt it’s now wonder why people are getting so confused.
