Blu-ray backup button grayed out

Post by fifty15 »

Hi,

I tried to back up four Blu-ray Discs my family sent to me using MakeMKV, and it fails on exactly one of them (for the other three, backup succeeds with good decryption). The backup button for that particular disc is grayed out, and my guess is that's because the disc type is recognized as "data" instead of "Blu-Ray". What can I do? I've seen some posts saying you should press the big backup button before inserting a disc -- but that doesn't work as the blu-ray drive won't be recognized until I insert a disc.

Here's a copy of the log file -- it's pretty short.

Can be the disc or the drive cannot interpret the disc content. Check it on an other drive if the disc is identified by the OS as Blu-ray.
Good Luck :)

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have easy access to another drive. The drive has been working great so far, so I bet disc error is more likely...
