Question about Asus BC-12D2HT

Post by TheFonz »

Goodmorning,

Recently I bought a second hand Asus Blu Ray reader (BC-12D2HT) under the (wrong) impression that every BC-12D2HT is using the MT1959 platform. Unfortunately Asus started building these drives in 2013 and my drive has a production date of september 2014 and is using the MT1939 platform.

When I start MakeMKV the following information is displayed:

Drive informatie
Naam OS-apparaat: H:
Fabrikant: ASUS
Product: BC-12D2HT
Revisie: 1.00
Serienummer: K9HE9UH0810
Firmware datum: 2113-06-14 12:00
Bus encryptie flags: 1E

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1939
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.00
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Partial
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

What does the status "Enabled" mean in the context of LibreDrive. Will this drive behave in the same way as LibreDrive enabled drives on the MT1959 platform?
