Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Has anyone tried the AM8 Pro with the Amlogic S928X-J soc? Does this play DV P7 MEL/FEL mkv files via NAS streaming? Is it possible to dual boot and use CoreElec or LibreElec? It's been tried. No Coreelec yet and no DV P7. Ok, thanks. I'll wait for a bit and hopefully it will be supported soon.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
Hi, I recently purchased an OWC Mercury Pro 16X Blu-ray drive from Amazon and it's not working to when trying to read 4K ultra HD movies. I've flashed the drive using this firmware (HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin) but it's still not decrypting the 4K movies. Regular 1080p blu...

I think that may have just been a bad batch a while back.Shawawadab wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 12:05 amI heard about reliability issues with these, that's why I had the second cheapest in mind ... are those issues perhaps resolved as of now?

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?
Hi, this is my first post, I really admire how this community helps each other to achieve a common goal! I live in Germany and am, as a student, on a tight-ish budget. It's my birthday soon and I've been thinking about gifting myself a new drive (external, if possible 4K/UHD). I've kind of been eye...

Re: Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK Refuses to read DVDs (reads bluerays just fine)
Hi again. So I pm-ed you Marty (assuming you're maybe still looking at all this) but I was curious just in general, I heard that the firmware pack used to include DE firmware. Is there any chance that someone has a .bin file of HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-BU14 floating around that they could send me? No p...

Re: Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK Refuses to read DVDs (reads bluerays just fine)
Hi friends. So, yesterday, I received the Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK I had ordered in the mail. I proceeded to flash its firmware to BU40N 1.03MK from using the "all you need firmware pack" from the makemkv forums as well as GUI SDF tool made by Marty. Now, to test it, I used a dvd I've been us...

Re: BD-RW BDR-XD07U | Status: Possible, not yet enabled
@Mike Admin Mike, I have a Pioneer BDR-XD07UHD drive with firmware ID05. When I tried to open the 4K UHD "Monster Hunters" disc, I receive the following error message. "Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive". Also, the...
