1.9.7 - All Bluerays error out on Scsi error

Post by leewalk »

Since upgrading to 1.9.7, every BR errors out like this:
Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00125.m2ts' at offset '1182658560'

Known issue?
Thanks, Lee

Hmm, it looks like multiple people having this problem with 1.9.7.

(Similar here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9685)

I experienced it too for the first time, but I attributed it to a bad disc.

I had no problem doing Camelot Blu-ray, all 3 discs, so it's not ALL Blu-rays.

Just upgraded to the latest version and now I'm getting SCSI errors, too. This only use to happen if a disc was damaged, now it's showing up every time the program is launched.

Also, noticed that BRD rips take much longer with v1.9.7 vs. previous versions. I tested it with a few titles I own, BeoWulf: Unrated Director's Cut, Blade Runner: The Final Cut and The Bourne Supremacy. Usually it takes 30-45 mins; now it's doing the job in 60-90 mins. = :?

Seems lately that every new version of MakeMKV has some random issue. Maybe I should revert to an older copy, maybe v1.95, and just stay there.

Anyways, that's my experience.

I keep getting the Following errors

Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'

But thus far only on Lost in Space BluRay Disc 1,3,5
